Hi,

I was convicted for DD on May 18th - in court the majistrate asked if i would like to complete a DD course to enable me to receive my lisence back on 27th April 2010 - this I assume was a mistake as my official date for my lisence back would of been 18th October minus the DD course (17 weeks i think)

I would like to know if I have any chance in challenging the court or DVLA to give me my lisence back on the date mentioned in court?

Please advise. Many many Thanks

Chay

I was banned for 17 months in total and have now completed the DD course in full. Thanks.

No. This sounds like a slip of the tongue rather than anything else. The order of the court was that you were disqualified for 17 months but by doing the drink drive rehabilitation course you can apply for your licence after serving 3/4 of the ban. The DVLA will calculate the date you can get your licence back based on this information, not what the Magistrates may have mistakenly said in court on the day.
