An offence of drink driving can be committed on a "road" or "other public place". I can't possibly tell you whether the land in question is publicly or privately owned. You should make enquiries with the local authority. However, even if it is private then you would still have to show that it was a place to which the public do not have unfettered access. There are lots of private car parks, like pubs for example, where members of the public can freely drive on and off. You would only have a defence if you can show that the general public are not allowed to drive onto the land. A good example of this would be a barrier denying access or a sign saying "trespassers will be prosecuted".
