Will the testing lab news affect people with drink driving convictions?

I wonder if the news about the testing lab will affect people who have given blood as evidence for their DD conviction? I doubt it will have any affect on their sentence as it will take months to identify cases involved. If it does will the people involved get compensation? The stigma however will still remain. Anyone have any thoughts/musings on this?

According to a statement made by Randox Testing Services, their laboratory at Manchester where the data 'manipulation' took place do not conduct alcohol analysis in drink driving cases.
