hire van

Hi all 3 weeks ago I was caught drink driving in a works hire van where I was the cause of an RTA no-one was hurt and no damage to other vehicle however the van I was in was a write off. The van was hired by my works and i'm worried the hire companies insurance will come after me for the costs. Any thoughts? I was convicted in court last week.

I think that you will find that the hire company will come after your employer, as it was hired by them. It is up to your employer as t.o what they do about you!

thanks. I've been sacked and there is a bit more to this I had my licence revoked and was due for renewal in nov also I hadnt been there long and never signed a contract. Dont know if that changes anything

It does change things, it makes it much worse!
Did you have a licence when you got the job?
What have the Police said about you driving without a licence?

Sorry worded that wrong! after I got my licence back after it was revoked it was only issued for 1 year! Sorry again!
