Hi All
I have been reading many threads on here throughout my process of obtaining a license after being disqualified (DR10) and having to take the DVLA CDT medical.
Drinking Habits - I on average drank about 8-10 units per day maybe slightly more on the weekends but not much.
DVLA Medical - After filling in the application and receiving a letter to attend the DVLA medical which was around 2 weeks I cut down on alcohol intake to around 3-4 units per day and had a day or 2 off the alcohol completely specially the day before!
I did do a private CDT test and my results came back at 1.0% well under the DVLA threshold of 2.2%.
After attending my medical and answering all the questions honestly I had a full driving license issued after about a week - not sure what my CDT test result was but must of been under the threshold as they did not contact my GP.
