Hi i new here im trying to find an insurance company that will cover me whilst i do my extended driving test in a freinds car thats already insured.
Ideally a day policey. At the moment the shortest i can find is 28days. I would very much appriciate help on this. Also im 40 at time off test and found a lot off companies wont cover me as to old for there terms.

There is only a limited number of companies that will insure a car that you do not own. I don't think a 1 day policy is going to be realistic. Also, if you have not been driving for a while, it is risky to launch straight into an extended test without a bit of practice that a 28 day policy will get you, or if you have had some lessons, to familiarize yourself with your friends car.
I suggest you call a broker such as Henshalls, on
01952 820358
and ask them to search for you, they will want to know the details of the registered owner and the details of the keeper (if different) as well as the details of the car.
Have you tried your friends insurance company? I would have thought it was easier to be added to a policy as a named driver rather than spend quite a bit on getting insured in this specialised way.
