guys, i just want to thank you for your support here. I have finally got my licence back, and subsequently my life back :) I have wrote a big thread but somehow it got wiped out, I cannot do it again. lol. I just want to thank you all, and I know what you are going through. I got my new car today. Just need to get it insured tomorrow., thanks to Mr. Price here i know how to go about it, and amazingly I have found something that is just £15 more than I used to pay, amazing really, thought would be more. Mr. Price, thank you so much, you are a great help here and you give the best advice! It still didn't sink in guys, it's like waking up from a terrible nightmare. It feels like a dream, like it never happened. as I said, wrote a big thread, but it was not saved somehow, but I am still here, if you need to ask me anything. One advice though please keep on with DVLA to issue your license when its due to be done. These people are useless and I actually cryied on the phone a few times, but got it back in time in the end :) If I left it, I'd still be waiting....
 
Very pleased, Ellen, that your ordeal is at an end. Thanks for letting us all know what your journey has been like, it give people hope that they can get through the ban. It is meant to be a punishment, but I am sure that until you have experienced it, the full extent cannot be appreciated.

Hi guys, I have not directly posted with you in fact just posted for the first time the other night although I have visited the site many times in the last couple of months. However I have just received my licence through the door today and I am absolutely over the moon. My reason for contacting was you mention your insurance quote was good I wondered who the company might be. I never got the opportunity to attend the DD rehab course as the sheriff (Scotland) does not really ever hand it out for some reason so I did not receive a wee book with specialist providers. Can you provide any details that I can look up for the insurance please it would be greatly appreciated. :rolleyes:
 
the book lists the following

THE INSURANCE FACTORY
THE POLICY SHOP
IC (INSURANCE CHOICE)
THAMES CITY INSURANCE

I never used or got quoted from any but they are the companies listed in the book from the course I completed.
 
Cheers for the update friend, I managed to actually get a good deal funnily enough through go compare.com:confused:
