Hi all,
after quite some time I have now decided to reapply for my license.
I have a medical booked for Tuesday and was hoping some of you folks could clear up a few questions.
In the medical is the questionnaire the same every time and is it the DR1V document from DVLA? https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dr1v-online-confidential-medical-information
I keep hearing conflicting points re the CDT test and if it is amber or green they do not contact your GP?
I had a fairly heavy binge about a year ago and did talk to my GP about it, I have no intention of trying to conceal anything from anyone in this process so will complete any forms truthfully. There was no dependency but I did talk to the GP as I had to cut off gradually because I felt like crap, no DT's or such like just safely cut down over a week. I hadn't touched a drop for a year prior to this and none since.
The medical is a minefield so I'm hoping this hiccup, as the GP called it, won't go against me.
