Hello,
I've just been found drink driving after I crashed my car last night (4:30am) I was tested and had 44 microgrammes in 100mililitres of breath. I have a court hearing coming up soon.
I'm really worried because I haven't faced anything like this before.
I don't normally drink often, had 3 drinks and waited several hours before driving home. I deeply regret what happened and wish I had waited longer before driving home.
Any advice for the hearing would be deeply appreciated. I have not been able to sleep since.

Given that this is your first offence and given the level of your reading at the police station it is likely that you will face a disqualification around 12 months. There is a minimum ban of 12 months for your reading but that could go up to as high as 16 months.

You may also be given the chance to complete the drink driving rehabilitation course which can reduced your ban by up to 25%.

You will also be fined anything between 100% and 150% of your relevant weekly income (income after stoppages). If you would like to discuss this further then please contact a specialist solicitor on 0333 323 3734.
